Ambassador Long Beach Veterinary Hospital is proud to offer endoscopy services for our patients.

Our Goal
…is to give our patients the very best veterinary medicine available. We use the latest equipment and offer our patients new and exciting ways to diagnose and treat problems. Having the latest technology is very important in a veterinary office, and we understand this!

For this reason, we are really proud to offer endoscopy services.

Endoscopy

The endoscope is a highly specialized tool that allows veterinarians to see inside your pet’s body. An endoscope is a small, flexible tube that we insert into your pet’s body to help us diagnose and treat various issues. There is a camera on the end, which allows us to view the inner parts of your pet in ways that we never could before. We are even able to take video so that we can watch and record the procedure to monitor a patient’s condition. We view the film on a small TV so that our patient is properly diagnosed and correctly treated.

Endoscopy Benefits

We most commonly use endoscopy to monitor an animal’s upper respiratory tract. We can look at the nasal cavity, pharynx, larynx, trachea, lungs, and much more. We also use it to investigate stomach issues and examine the uterus, urethra, bladder, and cervix.

Endoscopy is used to diagnose and monitor the treatment of many diseases and problems including laryngeal hemiplegia, pharyngitis, sinusitis, infections, choke, ulcers, uterine infections, cysts, foreign bodies, and many more. You can see why endoscopy can be so beneficial for your animal’s health.

Endoscopy allows veterinarians to provide better and earlier diagnosis, making it a valuable tool to modern veterinary medicine.

Endoscopic procedures are used in a variety of different ways for a number of ailments. Don’t hesitate to contact us at (562) 427-2889 if you have any questions about how endoscopy can benefit your pet or would like to schedule a consult.
